Arma 2 Dayz Map Loot

Items are grouped into categories and spawn in appropriate places, just like in the DayZ mod. Ravage isn't designed to be a finished mod or mission - it's a framework for other people to make missions and mods around. Anyone creating a mod or mission based on Ravage can alter the loot tables to make things spawn as they want.2. Vehicles spawn around the map and not in specific places. Ravage caches loot spawns. Back in the DayZ mod, servers had to be restarted every few hours because (amongst other reasons) the loot spawned and remained. The server had to keep track of every loot item and vehicle on the map all the time.

Eventually, that's a lot of items to track, so the server would get slower and slower until it gor rebooted. In Ravage, loot is spawned (according to loot tables) as you approach a place that can spanw loot. You might notice sometimes as you approach a building that you can actually see the loot appear.

When you walk away from a building, the loot is despawned so the data doesn't have to be kept in memory. The information about it is cached so that, if you return to the building, the same loot will spawn again. There is also a loot cycle. Every 24 (in-game) hours, the loot is respawned. So if you go to a building and take everything, it will remain empty until the next (game) day.Vehicles are largely similar.

But they don't spawn in fixed places, so you don't get a replacement car in the same place when you destroy the car. But there is always a basic amount of vehicles around the map.

There are certain fixed location vehicles - mostly helicopters - but this isn't common. Thanks for the response!

I understand the mechanics now much better and what you meant with framework. What I still cant really figure out so far is what triggers the lootsystem/equipmentpool to spawn scopes and silencers into the game. They just seem not to show in the basic set up (CBA + ravage). I extensively tested this with a cheat module and all I found is high tier rifles with just a flashlight attachment. It would be nice to know either way how to integrate weapon attachments:a) find them in Barracks or the typical high tier loot spotsb) spawn/loot them from AIc) buy them maybe as well from vendorsI will have a look in the files in the meantime. May there is a list that can be tweaked or so.Thanks in advance. Kaizen vehicle manager keygen. Because Ravage is set some time after the zombie apocalypse, Haleks deliberately restricted the loot, so there's not a lot of it and it's not terribly high level.

There aren't any high end scopes or attachements available. Everything's supposed to be a bit worn and dirty. If you try the '28 Years Later' mission, it's set, um. 28 years later and there's even less stuff and it's of even lesser quality. The only way high-end stuff is going to appear is if you edit the game files. I must watn you that ArmA editing is very hard to start with. Once you get beyond the initial hump, it's really easy.

If you fancy trying to edit, it's rather beyond me to advise on that and you'd need to head over to the Ravage thread on the Bohemia forums. Thanks again for your answer I hung out on DayZ servers a lot, so I had a specific idea what to find choppers, scopes etc.

It helps to know that the there are no better attachments available no matter what value I enter in Eden Editor.Another thing is that cars look rusty even though the rust-texture option has an on/off toggle in the editor (I think its even off by default). But following Haleks style it might be intended as well that only hand placed vehicles don’t have rust, like the first off-roader e.g.
