It's a good bet that a 4 gig card will be okay - but I'm not sure either, I had a problem with a 4 gig card in my k 10.However for shooting RAW the issue is how many images do you want to have with you at one time before you get chance to download onto your computer.I generally shoot with 1 and 2 gig cards - good value of gigabytes per dollar and you can get a fair few images on. (Your k100 should be okay with 2 gig cards)Set your camera to shoot RAW + jpg. It means you always have a reference image to quickly look at before you bother processing the RAW image.I personally use dng RAW setting - since Photoshop sucks this in directly. My version of photshop (cs2) won?t accept Pentax RAW. ( I use a K10, is this an option on the k100)The faster cards simply mean you can shoot more images in continuous mode before the camera buffer is full. The speed of your card is irrelevant for anything but continuous shooting and even then it is generally a minor thing.Something to think about, how happy are you carrying around 500 + images around on a single card. I prefer to keep my sets in smaller amounts so I actually carry lots of 1 gig cards and just a couple of 2 gig cards.The card you mention is a good card but carries a price premium because of its speed.
